You should just take my advice, seriously. I have tried the "subtle" approach and believe me it doesn't work. He'll turn suicidal and try to kill hisself, he'll cry on your shoulder and beg you not to do it. He will go CRAZY and you don't want that. Just say F off you old dirty bastard. Simply explain to him that it's time for you to trade him in for a newer model. I'm telling you, I've been through it and what will happen is you will feel so bad you'll take him back and then pretty soon you will be STUCK with him FOREVER!! Just tell him. Good luck! :)
