PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES

    My gran is disabled, and she works so hard to keep a smile on everyones face, since she became wheelchair bound her friends have avoided her in the street this gets her down but she is always cheerful and tries to look on the bright side, to me she is beautiful and I love her very much

    I think that this is stupid. Everyone is equal. This forum sounds like we're expected to feel bad for them. We should treat them as equals.

    I think they are human beings just like me. I used to work with people with physical and mental impairments and they are such wonderfully observant and strong people. Their skills in many areas of both life, social habits and work related skills are often under estimated. I think we need a promotion of exception and understanding for younger kids while going through school as part of the education curriculum. People are often afraid of what is different, truth is they aren't. Thats our twisted perception, to them its normal.
