gay friend

I have this friend and he is gay problem being he has been gay for 3 and half years and he still won't come out to his parents. All of his friends know and one of them told his parents that he was gay but he lied to them. His parents are very religious and he doesn't know how they will react. he wants to tell them but he doesn't know how and i don't have any advice for him b/c when my parents found out i was bi they found out through a family friends kid. I have no idea what to tell my friend do any of you have and idea for him

Its a really difficult thing for a gay person to come out, i also had a gay friend and its taken him years. He's told his parents yet their in denial. Its totally his decision. You shouldn't try and make him do it. Also, as his parents are religious they will react differently and he ahs every right to be scared. Just let him know you're there for him, and dont force him to tell them.

He'll come out once he's fully comfortable with the person he is. Chances are he feels embarrased or strange for being gay and does not want his parents to think that of him. He'll tell them on his own when the time is right.
