I am not sure what to do about this! I never thought anyone would ever steal one of my poems! It's called Walk on the beach! I found it on the site creative poems. It was posted on 4-19-05 by CountryGirl69 I had posted mine before that on 4-8-05! I can't believe this! What do I need to do? Sorry but I never thought I would have this problem! I made a complaint on here is there anything else I need to do? Thanks for your help! Brooke~

Thanks for your time. I e-mailed the girl and I see she deleted my poem. My friend posts on that site and when I went to check out her poem imagine how surprised I was to see my poem right above hers. Never thought anyone would ever want any of my poems. Just wanted to let you know you can now ignore the complaint. Thanks!

The users name was CountryGirl69 and under name it said wouldn't you like to know! Should say Thief!! I was just so surprised that someone did that. I am happy she deleted it. My friend posts on here as well. If I wouldn't have been checking out her poems on that site I would have never known. I only use this site to write.

This is the email I received back from CountryGirl69:

First of all. That poem was sent to me via email by a good friend of
mine. I was under the impression that she had written it. I was not told
otherwise. When i posted it on my profile i thought that i was doing a
good thing for her in posting what i thought was her work. I posted it
because i enjoyed it. Not with the intention of plagiarizm. This is not
something that i do. My work is original, and it would figure that the
one time that i do something for someone else that this would happen. I
will not apolgize because i do not feel that i did anything wrong. I
did not to this with vicious intent. If you would have approached this
thing as an adult you would have known that before you made yourself look
bad by writing a nasty email. Thank you for jumping to conclusions and
fasly accusing me of something i was unaware of.

All I did was send her an email pointing out the fact that she had posted my poem. I made her aware of the fact that my poem was posted before hers. I also told her that I had made a report on this site as well as creative poems.
Thank you Sunny for reading her other poems. I would have never known about mine if it wasn't posted right above my friends. It's a shame when you read someones poems that you might really be reading the work of another poet. I haven't even been writing long so I never expected something like this to happen to me. I am glad I found it and you were able to recognize so many other poets poems! Good work!!

    alan,

I think if you go to google and type in the title of your poem, it will show you everyone who has something with the same title. But the problem is, if someone plagiarizes they will probably change the title. So...

It's really great to know all of you with such talent have taken the precautions to protect your work. If a person wants to write poetry they should learn to write on their own. Plagiarizing will only bring them down. I have read poetry all my life and thought I would like to give writing a try. I think I am improving. I am just not where I would like to be yet. The brilliant advice I have received from so many people on this site has really been of great help. In the end I want to feel that I have accomplished it with hard work and dedication. I want to thank everyone that's helped me and supported me. I hope some day to be in the same league as so many of you. Take Care~
