okay that's when you call CSD and say "get your asses over here my mom is out of control"...I'm sorry you and the other millions have to go though this...I was abused when i was 1 till i was 7 when my mom finaly devorced my dad and we moved soo i know how your feeling...hang in there...

Yes it is child abuse.

It is also child endangerment.

If your mom drinks around you and then gets out of control, and drives, or just starts yelling and stuff at you then it is child endangerment. Try to talk to a counsler or someone if you don't want to go to the police.

But...in all honesty....the police is the only way to go.

Most peoples mum drinks and hits them occasionally. I disagree with anyone who says you should report her to the police. Everybody loses control sometimes. Its no different from one of us going up and hitting another child or something. If she carries on hitting you though, then you should tell someone. Have a talk to her and maybe see if you can get her help for her drinking problem and try and sort things out with each other.

Added later: Ok I just wanted to say that would I posted before was just what Id do. She should actually tell someone straight away. I wouldnt have the guts to tell anyone anything. When I got bullied, I didnt tell. When a guy abused me for over a year, I didnt tell. When my mum hits me, I just reckon i deserve it. So yeah, tell someone right away.

Rachel not to start a fight or anything but excuse me, she may be her own mother but her mother isn't suppose to do that. She can talk to her mom but it doens't mean her mother's going to stop hitting her or gettin drunk. I think she should tell someone right away.She needs to report her I don't want her having to go through what I have to go thorough my mom.

If she's driving drunk, with her daughter in the car....that's child endangerment. A form of child abuse. I'm sorry....but that's not right.

You said that you shouldn't report her because she's her own mother....well you said it yourself....she's her mother!! She has no right to get drunk and hit her child all the time! And she should never NEVER get drunk, and drive. I'm sorry...but a mom like that needs help. She wont go to jail but she will have to get help, and if a judge orders it, then she has to has to do it and if she doesn't, THEN she can go to jail.

Yes, it is child abuse. Your mom has a drinking problem, with which she needs help as soon as possible. You need no try to avoid her as much as possible when she's mad, cause it ight cost ya. Get help for your mom before she does something even wurst to ya.

Why does it seem that everyone compares everything to others. Its not making her feel any better with you guys saying... ohhh blah go read a child called it etc.. It makes then feel like their problems are not important.

Yes I feel it is abuse, i could understand a shove maybe, but when it gets bad enough with brusies and twists, you know something is bad.
