A few questions really...

Hi, i've been writing for the better part of 2 years now because i needed a outlet for emotion...my question to you is, what defines a good writer?

I hate everything of what i produce, under the belief that it is terrible, is a writer even supposed to like his work, maybe that's half the point....self improvement using words as a basis.

I can never force myself to write, and when i do - it turns out worse than before, is that a sign that maybe writing isn't the best thing for me to do? I want to take it as a career, books and such like, but....well if i can't motivate myself and inspire myself on the spot, then maybe thats a bad thing?

When i write and do get inspiration i write it up in less than 5 minutes, look over...grammar check, maybe change a couple of words but thats pretty much it.

A few thoughts, i'd be intrested to see what others think.

That does help actually, thank you...i do love words alot, i find it amazing how you can develop emotion, hurting, love from the use of them.

I want to be a manupilator(sp) of words in some way i guess, and i do understand that nobody can tell you that you are a good writer or a bad writer as such, due to the varying tastes everybody has.

Practice is what i shall do, and i hope by being here..reading and commenting on others that i can learn to write even 10% as beautifully as alot of the users can.

Shame i'm against rhyming though...i should probably develop that more.

I generally find it more powerful if a poem reads and flows well without the use of rhyme, or limited rhyming atleast.
