I agree cutting is stupid, but some people cant afford a therapst, or they are ashamed of what they do, so they rely on the KINDNESS of strangers to help them not beat them down. So you say. I had a friend at 15 pregnant with no one who cared. She went to the counselor and the school officer....no one told her parents as she asked them not to. I went with her a couple of times because she wanted someone to just hold her hand. No one told. She did eventually. I'm sure if it had something to do with drugs or abuse they would. But in such a case it would be the parents who were abusing....so why would they go to the parents if they were actually the problem? Use that brain of yours.

youre wrong natalie84 counselers have to go to parents or they lose their job and license im positive on this and if your friends counseler didn't then sorry but not only is your counseler in the wrong shes in the wrong. Im sorry she got pregnant and it is a hard position but everyone is right you are never positive

Oh my God, you all are idiots. You all swear you got the world on your shoulders and your lives are so horrible. Actually....counselors are there to help and will do so at all costs. I know that because I made MANY visits to mine through out high school. The social work in our school as well. She called my mother when I asked her to. When I was ready. But since you two know ALL I will leave it at that. I love when 14 year olds talk like they've lived so long and know so much.
