do u only write poems on the computer or on paper too?

I usually type on the computer because it is easier, but if I'm traveling I write on paper.

I used to only write my poems on paper. I don't know what it was, but it was like I just couldn't write unless I had a pen in my hand and I was putting it on paper. But now, I am able to type them on the computer. Weird, huh?

I mainly write on my computer, or laptop. The only problem with this is when I am out and about, if I have a new idea I can't always type it up. So recently I have taken to carrying a notebook and pen around, failing this I have been known to jot somethings down in the back of my diary.

i actually write more on paper than i do on the comp, i think with the pin and paper your more in touch with everything, just makes me feel more humble and down-to-earth....i like it =)

I always write it on paper! The only time I write using the computer is if I'm participating in a poetry thread!
I have about 4 different notebooks I write in! They are full of random stanza's and partial poems! So even when I have no inspiration, I usually find it within one of the notebooks.
I used to carry a notebook where ever I went because I'm always struck with inspiration at the most random of times. That became a hassle though, so now I use the Memo function on my cell phone! It works so much better.....Holly

i use both.. if my computer isnt near by and i get a great idea i could write about, i write it on anything i can find lol. but i mostly work better when i have the laptop in my room on my bed and i just start writing. that's when i write best.

i always write them down either in class or at night or when im sitting in front of the computer even, just so i have an extra copy that i can read again anytime.

I write most of my poems when I am on the computer, however I occasionally have inspiration at random times, I have a diary which I use especially for this.

My handwriting is poor, so mainly on the PC - Unless i feel like handwriting one for Tracie.

If you need a computer to write your poems you either 1) Underestimate your ability as a writer, some of the best and most well known poets of our century had pens and papers, some going back even further quills and bark to scrawl upon - ask Shakespeare where his lap top was? LOL OR 2) You're really not a writer at all...sorry if I come across as harsh but your response was so close minded.

when i started writing, i used to only write on paper ( i had this notebook) and i would never write them in pen! but today i was looking at a pose.. it was the writing challenge one, and i wrote a poem on the computer!! it was easier, actually, cuz you can erase your stuff more easily!

I usually write on paper ... I keep a book I have full of poem i have written ... I aso write on the computer sometimes depending ..... Usually right now I have been writting on the comp more then paper cuz i can't find any paper in my house

yep, i write poems on paper first then transfer my poems into microsoft words.. =) i keep track of the date to most/all of my poems.. people might want to know how long ago i wrote my poems.. *wink*

most of the time i write them on the comp. its easier for me since i type pretty fast and my mind comes up with stanzas rlly quick so its easier for me to get the stuff down. but i write a lot on paper. like during skool i have nothing to do cuz the teachers wont stop blabbing abt stuff no one cares abt rite at this current moment like how to figure out probability and stuff and i'll write on paper...

I write pomes on anything, paper, computer, napkin, box what every is handy at a time when something starts comming to me, it usually starts with one line.....

hm... i only wrigth them on the computer... its a lot easier because if you wrote something wrong yo can just re-do it wothout any problems;)

I write poems on paper in this book that I have then if i like them I added them to the site. Sometimes I will write them on the computer but for the most part its on paper

I write poems on the computer because it's way easier to erase and all and plus my music that helps me concentrate is on my computer. Anyone listen to Collide by Howie Day? It's really good and when an idea pops up in my head for a poem I write it on paper and type it on the computer. Anyways that's my answer

i normally have a copy written and typed...i type just to have them on the computer saved so i can make a copy anytime I want and just in case i lose the copy i wrote on paper. i keep all my poems in a folder with written and typed copys. i also think of ideas in random place so i carry a small notepad and a pen in my back pocket all the time.

i've always written things on paper first, just because when i get an idea or urge to write something i'm usually not sitting at the computer so i write it down, then i type it onto the comp for another copy.

i always do drafts on paper, cos it's easier to fix up mistakes - and then i put them into my book (good copy) and post them on the net as well

For College i shall buy a journal of some form, start up a written collection.

i have a hard time writing on the computer...i bring a notebook and something to write with everywhere i go and so i usually just use paper!

I think i write on a little of both.. but if i write on paper is on index cards.. b/c i guess they are easier to keep up with for me.. and i just stack them all together.. i guess its just me.. bye bye EJ
