If you really don't like your friend in that way, just tell him that you think he's an awesome person and that you care about him but you don't see him in that way. and tell the other guy you like him and want to go out with him. but b4 you go out with the other guy, wait some time so you don't hurt you friends feelings.

You need to tell your friend straight that you prefer him as a friend otherwise you'll jus t end up hurting him more in the long run, take care xxx

If he doesn't want to believe that it's true, then tell him that if he really cares about you then he'll let you go and not keep you in this situation where you're hurting.

why dont u explain to ur frend ur feelings towards him..i know he can understand u...think about ur feeling towards ur frend..maybe u like him but u dont know it yet.....are u sure that d guy u like likes u???r u sure ure not going to hurt???
