Christians!

Hey guys, my friend Summer Henessey asked me to post this...hehehehe please help my girl out, she's "confused":

"This guy I really like is Christian and I'm a Catholic... lately he's been very sweet and paying attention to me but sometimes he asks me things like "Do you have a bible? If you don't I could give you mine..." and "What's your favourite verse... why is it your favourite? What does it mean to you?".

And when I told him that my favourite verse was 1 Corinthians 13:4, he tried to find me all the different versions of it and gave it to me the next day (so cute...). Please help me I'm really confused! I don't know what to think!"

if it bothers her maybe she should tell him that, and if he doesn't like it, he can take his bible and find someone else who doesn't mind. if he does, then it just wasn't meant to be...who knows, maybe he's only looking for someone who shares his intrests...but does she share that interest? if not it might not work so good, and what does it have to do with her being catholic? I'd consider them christians too...I mean they both believe in the same god right? but if she's not into it like him...then i can see her being confused...personally from what I hear about him it sounds like it would be a little much for me too.

whao...get out of there quick, yeah its great that he's nice and all, but seriously do you want to be with a guy whos all " if u dont except christ as ur personal savior youll go to hell" like dont get me wrong, practice ur religon at free wil li dont have a problem with it, like im catholic but i believe u dont have to go to chruch to prove ur faith to god, just be a good person and dont kill anyone, even so if u did kill someone god would forgive u i mean he is a forgiving god right?? but seriously his "type" is a no no those type of christains judge you waaaaaaay to quickly i should know its been don e to me before

Hey thats not how all of us are. Only the ones that take the message to far will do that. Most of us understand that that will make people even scared to be around us. And this post is to help someone in there problem not to say whether or not you have a faith or you don't like a certain faith. Lets try to stick to what she came to us for. Help.

Summer:
Christians have a whole lot of denominations and have a slightly different belief than Catholics- Catholics believe in saints, christians don't. Catholics pray to the virgin mary, christians don't.

And the guy isn't really "scaring" me or making me uncomfortable (ok, just a little, because I don't know as much about religion as he does)... I just wanna know why he's suddenly taken such an interest in my faith...

Yeah, DONT run! i think he prolly just wants know where you stand with God and stuff you know? Cuz I am a Christian too, and i know how important it is to be able to share the same beliefs with ur bf/gf or wife/husband... I mean any guy that i date gets "put thru the ringer" cuz my dads a pastor! lol! {i feel bad for all those guys man!!} but yeah just talk to him a bout it, listen to what he says, and tell him what u think , work it out if u really like him you know? anyways, ttyl! *KISSES*~Corrie

I agree about not running. He probably just wants to know where you are with your faith so he knows what to expect. A lot of people make decsions based on their faith. Decsions like drinking, drugs and sex. Maybe he just want to know where you stand on things like that. Definately talk to him, tell if your uncomfortable and make sure he tells you why he wants to know so much about your faith. Good luck!

I'm definitely not going to run away. He's such anice guy. But, do you think maybe he just wants to share his faith? Because, as much as I admire his faith, I am kind of interested in him in a different way. I don't wanna let myself really fall for him and then find out, he was just feeling the need to share with me what he learnt at bible study... that would kind of hurt.

well, if u think that might be the case {wich it very well could be} and your really just not interested in His faith at all, then maybe try to just be friends for now, but while your being friends, try to figure out if he likes u or not, u know drop hints here and there that u like him, and u wanna know if he likes u... ok kinda like this, one night ur on the phone with him, and it gets quite, for a little, say sumthing like, so who do u like? and if he says i cant tell, or oh i dont know, or sumthing indirect like that, then he prolly likes you... i dunno, just try to figure out if he likes u b4 you totally fall for him like u said, you know... it might take time but it'll be worth not getting urt if he doesnt like u, dont u think? anyways, ttyl!* KISSES*~Corrie
