Single mothers can raise a child without a father, single dads can raise a child with out a mother. How is it different?

And it doens't always turn out like that though Georgi, and whilst a woman-woman relationship may not be that, um, great (i guess) for a child, a lot of woman-man relationships are just as bad. (eg. abusive, negligent (sp?), just unhappy in general)

I never thought of it like that. I am simply stating that the kids could get bullied and i dont think thats fair, but yes, my mother raised me without a father figure, and altough they can raise the children, ive always felt like theres something missing, and i think maybe thats what some children would think also.

My mom raised my sister and I alone I turned out fine. I've never felt something missing. But I never knew my dad at all he left when I was 11 months.

And yes, I understand the teasing things, but kids are teased regardless now these days...I have a mother and a father, and even a step-father and step-mother, but that's not why I'm teased...and a lot of people are teased about everything now...even if a kid didn't have homosexual parents, or were homosexual themselves, they could still be teased...if their parents were or they were, they'd still be teased...it's almost like a lose-lose situation in our society these days.

I know wot ur saying ryan and yes i respect it, but that is just what i believe. I know situations that have turned out awfully, and so i am against it. You know situations that have turned out absolutely fine, therefore u have no problem with it.

I understand Georgi...that's why I say everyone has their opinions, but atleast I think, if you have a problem with it, don't interfer and ruin it for those who are for it. (eg, votes...don't vote against if you're against it...then that just ruins it for those who are for it...you should give them a chance atleast)

i have never said i wouldnt, of course i will. Gay people are people too, with exactly the same rights as we have! My opinion isnt going to stop that! So i wish them all the best and hope that they can succeed in being as happy as possible:)

first, let me state Jesi is a complete idiot (though I know that whole thing is over and done with)
second, I have no idea why this chat is in sadness/depression
third, I am 100% for it.

The only arguments that I find worthy against gay marriage is 1) marriage is actually defined as a union between a man and a woman, so to take the alternate route with all the same benefits just not being called legally wed, would not cause as much conflict
2) there are cons out there who marry solely for the financial benefits, and it's easier to live together and fake a marriage if you are both the same sex

Now I have plenty of arguments against both of those points, I'm just pointing out that there are good arguments against gay marriage. What I can't stand is when people try to make religion as a factor. Just because you're told something is wrong, doesn't mean it's immoral. These people need to look at what homosexuality is and try to dissect what actual problems it causes in society. (which I could most likely argue with all of them)

Ryan is not wrong in what he says, and you are not an idiot for what you say. EVERYONE is entitled to their opinions and not everyone will agree with someone's opinion. They's why its called a self-opinion. If everyone could accept not everyone thinks alike, there wouldn't be so many problems.
