my vocabulary is not very impressing, as I am from Norway, but I really enjoy learning new words...

I tend to use Thus (such a beautiful word), therein (love it)...

    and that's all

For a while, I was stuck on the word eternity! I put it in so many poems! Now I use a thesaurus to broaden my vocabulary! I adore the word melancholy! I'd have to say that's my all time favorite word~Holly

I love using older words, like "thus, thy, thou, art, hath, layeth..." They sound so beautiful and when they're used in a poem, it gives the impression that the poem has been written hundreds of years ago.

having favorite words that you like to use, will end up making some of your poems sound the same or drown out the word...you should not have a favorite word, you should be original in all of your poems.

I know, that's already worrying me, anybody else feel the same?

I don't have favorites words on mine.
I just write what the Heart Speaks.
I'm not an expert at it.
But I try my best to improve.

Release what it says and let it speak for You.

pretty & sweet have so many different uses, I have to take advantage of them. I like the word fuck, and it occasionally creeps into my poetry. also whore rhymes so well with so many things.

conversely, I can see how it gets old. I reread "Hunger Pains" and feel an instinct to strangle myself for over-using the word "pain" ad nauseum.

i adore using love, dove, and above. sometimes altogether in the same poem because they rhyme so well.

i just find myself using them a lot, lately though i have been trying to use new vocabulary just i need to find money to buy a thesaurus and a better dictionary that would really help, but i have no money right now at this point at all! and i guess if i only have three words i find myself using over and over i guess thats not to bad.

however, the more i read 'i love you' in poems, the more those words become like a two-by-four, slamming you on the head till you are numb to its potency.

    I love the words,

    Always, forever, Love, above..
