Party: To go, Or not to go... help!

So, heres the lowdown on my life..
Me like girl - Girl like Boy - Boy = My Best Friend
So, me and the girl becomin friends but its simple to see that she loves my best friend alot, but my best friend is SHY AS HELL!!! and doesnt really like her.
So, me and my friends got invited to go to town and then go to pool with the girl and her friends...
Town part is easy, but the pool well...
The thing is im a bit of a fatty, and i really dont wanna embaress myself there.
But it's like this:

- I Might Regret going to this party if i go, but chances are it will be fun...

-If I skip it, I'll deffinetley regret not going...

So what should i do? go? not go? help me!
