Help me write

I alwayz start poes from random lines that pop into my head but can never finish them b/c i cant think of anything that goes with that line or two. how can i finish these poems??

turn the random lines into quotes, or figure out what that line is saying...what the idea(s) of it is...and then think of other ways to express that idea, or ways to describe it, or how you feel about the idea, and there's your poem. it takes practice to make it all flow but it'll happen.

Scott I do that all the time. Something will pop in my head and I'll just write it down. I have papers everywhere in my car and at my house with one or two sentences written on them. I always put them away and then read them later and pick one out. One will stand out and I'll just take it and start writing. Some times I cut it completely out or I change the whole thing. Don't try so hard...I think it's harder to write when you are forcing yourself to do it. Just put it away and go back to it later.

Try making the poem into.. um. oh, i forget what it's called. maybe something with and L.. like Limerake. maybe, It's a tricky one to write, and the last stanza you don't have to write anything at all, all the lines are writting for you. It's fun. and you can write about alot of stuff!

I TRY to keep them all in one place...a folder or something. It doesn't usually work out that way since some times I'm driving when I think of something. I have MOST of my ideas on my computer so I can just scroll through them when I want. What ever works for you. Once you get a lot of ideas you can search through them and I'm telling you it's fun. Another thing I do is make up titles for poems. I have a list right now of about 40 or 50. When I get bored or can't think of anything to write I'll search through the titles, pick one and start writing. That is so fun. Maybe you should try that as well.

I Agree, When Random Thoughts And Ideas Come Into My Head And I'm Not So Sure What To Do With Them, I Write Them All Down, Think About It For a Moment, And Creativly Combine Them In a Art/Masterpiece I Like To Call Poetry! lol Good Luck xoxo-Nikki-xoxo
