That's funny I just had a birthday and I was in Jamaica. I called my grandma and she didn't say anything. My dad happened to be there and he also didn't say a word about it. So I just started singing Happy Birthday to me! Then all of a sudden they said they were planning on saying Happy Birthday. I know they forgot. To me I don't care much about my birhday since I am only getting older 35 now 1/2 way to 40. When you get my age you just want to look at it as just another day. I always go on vacation over my birthday. In my mind I think being away means it never happened so really I am still quite young. Well I still look and feel much younger than I am so that's all that matters.

Thank you that's sweet! I am supposed to be working if people knew what I was really doing. I look busy setting here typing away! LOL

I am a counselor at a facility for troubled teens part-time. I also work for a specialty Doctor he is in the army and was called to duty. I only go in the office now part-time. I just became a Nurse Practitioner but have not had the opportunity to finish all the legal aspects. I still am able to work as an RN. I go in and give injections to MS and migraine patients, check the mail, messages etc. I guess I can't complain it happened in the spring and summer months. He could be gone up to a year. Usually with Doctors they will send them back after about 6 months. This is the second time he was called. Just waiting for his safe return.
How about you what type of work do you do? I see we keep busy lol.

I have to get back to work if I want to get out of here at a decent hour. I have to finish dictations which is easy I just speak into a micrphone and the computer does the typing. The thing is it doesn't always type what you say. I have to proof them before they make there way to the psychiatrist. He doens't like any errors. He is a perfectionist.

Tamar my son is 11 but when we went on vacation this year they thought we were brother and sister at first. Then we had to show our passports! I guess I don't look a day over we'll go with 15. LOL
Ballet teacher wow! I started ballet leasons at the age of 4 and continued until I was 13. I hated it because I wanted to take gymnastics. Looking back now I wish I would have stuck with it. I was really good at gymnastics back in the day.

Born I would have been upset when I was your age. I would have made sure they knew! I would have wanted all the gifts and money. LOL Sorry that happened to you! You have to be goofy like me and just bust out in song! Happy Birthday to me! They will soon remember. When I was younger they didn't forget because I had a list of gifts I wanted. Spoiled brat I know! LOL

Tamar that's great I really wish I would have stuck with it. I watch it now and think that could have been me if I wasn't so stubborn . It wasn't in my blood. My mom was attempting to live her childhood through me! That was her mistake I might have not rebelled if I was allowed to make some of my own choices. That's life for you live and learn!

So sorry that everyone gave you such a bad birthday i know exactly how it feels! my birthday is the day after chirstmas and i barely ever get happy birthday calls because people are still with thier families, my family sometimes forgets (often) because they are still tired from the day before. it's horrible! but since i've been making them realize it more now they seem to remember better

my parents forced me to do chores all day on my birthday. worse,it was a school day.then they didnt give me any presents. then this girl anna's friend suicided and she got pissed at me cuz her friend suicided on MY birthday. pretty much a crappy birthday.
