Writing Poems To Let Out Feelings

My boyfriend found out that I get on this site and write poetry, well , when me and him at broken up, I wrote depressing poems, about how I was sad and heartbroken. He read them all. I felt like he had just seen me naked because these were my feelings and I hadn`t planned on him reading my poems. Poetry to me is a way to let out stress and let out my feelings, its just easier for me than talking to someone about them. So should I be embarrased that he read my poems or relieved that he knows how I really felt?

dude!! i kinda have had the same deal! lol.. except i actually read this really depressing poem to him.. and then i felt like a total idiot!! but..(there is a point)... he did say he would, in return, write a poem back.. which he did-it was cute.. but it basically said "i wish you had told me your feelings......." and stuff!! so.. feel RELIEVED.. having all that stuff bottled up inside, from experience, is NOT good!! and.. it doesn't matter what they think about your feelings anyways.. if they appreciate it.. then its good.. if they think you are a loser... they really need help!! lol.. j/p... um.. yep.. ok-hopefully that helpls!

I think you should feel relieved. Now he knows exactly how you feel. But nobody can tell you how to feel so it's only your choice of how you see and feel it.

A girl I have only just started talking to again after a massive fight, and 6 months of not talking read my poems about a month ago. They are all about depression and stuf. And when she told me she had read them I was a mess. I still feel a little wary of her, but thankfully she hasn't said anything and hopefully she hasn't jumped to any conclusions ... or figured it out rather.

It shows he cared enough to at least look. Think about it he knew you posted poems on this sight for all to read. If you did'nt want him to read them, now you know not to post them on this sight.

Well, I have read a few of your poems, and they are really good. OS if I were you, I would just gloat! He might even be jelous now anyways!

i so know how you feel, i wrote one about how i wanted my friend to stop taking drugs, and he read it and i felt so embarassed, but its a good job he read it because he promised to stop after that. I think you shouldnt feel embarassed about your poems, they are speecial to you and he should respect that

i write depressing poems, about suicide and my bf found out i was writing them, and he read them... he called my friend, and she said after he read them he was shaking, and like about to cry...
