Assisted Sucide.

I've read a lot of cases about this. Including cases involving Dr.Kevorkian and those with a terminal illness. It is a very difficult situation to analyze because it involves the discussion and free will of the suicidal person. No matter, I still believe it should be just as illegal as murder. Because that's what it is, though you may not be killing the person yourself...you are helping him/or kill. And that's what it comes down to: Your involvement in the killing of a person. Now correct me if I'm wrong, but that is a major crime....even if the person is literally asking for it. Very strong cases can be made for or against my opinion. Interesting question.

i have thoughts of single man suicide, i think u know that ismail, but if assisted suicide happens, i would call it murder????

i do not think suicide is horrible in by any means if you feel your life has gone on long enough and you've done everything you feel a person should accomplish in a lifetime then i think it's your buisness,your choice.

but the emo,desperate suicide is just discusting to me,so is cutting it's just stupid the whole idea of suicide is really overrated and none of anyone elses buisness i think,but i totally agree that people who are in the hospital should have a choice of wether or not they want to go on living with whatever is happeneing to their bodies-

Rachel, there is a small problem with that.

How do you know that your life has been accomplished to the fullest extent? How do you know that you've touched all the lives you can? How do you know any of this?

All suicide, in my opinion is just unsupported, and to try to justify it by saying that you think your role on this earth is done is, more or less, an ignorant answer. No one can say that their life has been completely accomplished, because no one knows what the future holds.

Of course, this is coming from a Christian's point of view. God will decide when your life on earth has been accomplished.

If it's for anyone who just wants to die, This was a really stupid question. Our society has already put in stone that suicide is not cool. So, by supporting it, you are giving off an image that its okay. There really is no question about it to me. It's stupid to even think about it.

"Doctor, I want to die. I've done everything I've wanted to do."

"Alright patient, you just sit in this chair. I'll electricute the life out of you. Just watch it all fly by. And as your watching that little screen on your eyelids, remember your grandchildren and your husband and your coworkers and remember that they may need you to read a story to them before you go to bed, or they may need you to back them up financially, or they may need you to copy this paper and send it out. So, if you think life is over for you, think again."
