for the most part I do.. I only show the ones that are on my site cause i like to hear what people have to say about them. But all of them stay in this book that I have and I keep the book hidden so pther people dont know. Some of my friends have seen stuff that ive written, and my friends and family all know I write but most of the time they dont see anything that ive written.

I don't feel confident enough to show ppl my poems most of the time, ad some of them are too private as well. Although i always show my husband them.

I don't really keep my poetry secret. My ninth grade teacher has read many of my poems and has actually shared one of them with all his classes because it fitted a book we were reading. my family knows, but some of my writings upset them so i just keep certain poems away from them, my friends now and they get emails of my poems because they asked me to do so. The only way i would say that i keep them secret is that out of all my poems i relate to about five of them, but i don't tell people which ones they are. but i like to share my work and get positive and negitive feedback so i know how to improve my skills and writing! Maybe if i related to more of my work i wouldn't share as much, but i don't know for sure.

My life is an open book, and my poems are the key to what i am realy thinking. i do not post my good poems on this site, just the ones i want to here comments on. All the others i post a journals, and keep in files password locked on my computer so my parents wont find them. The only one who ever reads my deep ones is my boyfriend, and some of my other friends. I dont hide them realy, just dont try to flash them about you know?

I keep only few poems secret. And those are, unsurprisingly, the lower-quality, in my opinion, poems that I've created...

I keep mine secret, from most people. Only some of my friends, and others at school, know about them. But my family doesnt, n i dont plan on letting them know, cuz i have many poems that deal with depression, and sadness, n things like that

I kind of keep them secret, but I don't at the same time. I don't show my family and some friends, which is secret. But I put post them up here, so people can see.

I don't show my parents or physical-world friends. I share with some friends I have through the internet and with strangers...like you all. Odd how posting on the 'net feels safer almost...

I don't show anyone i know my poems, i think there to personal and it makes it very easy for people to judge you. I see my poems as a way of expressing what i feel to others that feel the same. In a way my poems are all the things that i darent tell people i know x

Some of my friends know I write, and they've probably seen some of my stuff becaus ethey've been on this site, but we don't really talk about it. I prefer to think that no-one I know reads my work, that way I can write more personally. I think my mum also know's I write, but I don't think she's read any of it. Well, I hope not anyway..,

I honestly was nervous about posting my poems up on this website, because some of them seem more personal, or I thought hmm maybe one would say they suck ( which really i dont care ) or people would steal them and say they wrote them. So In a way i wish I kept them to my self, but I want to be a writer when I get older.. 3 more years to college! so i have to do what i have to do!

I don't really keep my poems a secret. If I did, I would keep them to myself and would not be posting them on the site for all to see.

    Mike,

I don't think any woman likes to hear about her husband or boyfriend thinking of, let alone writing about other woman.

But I guess your right, it just might come down to - I love you honey, but I love more your money.

    Just kidding.

    Regards,

    Chris,

Will get around to it, I haven't joined the site long so still going through and reading allot of stuff. But it does not necessarily make me retarded if I have not read it yet (just pulling your leg).

Thanks for the heads up, will also read some of your works too before I get too retarded, ha, ha.

    Cheers!

    Thanks Chris,

Nice of you to make me welcome. I joined for some weeks and have been busy reading allot and writing and posting some of my own. There is just so much on the site to read.

Your quite right, the site has it's good points and bad points and equally I have met already some really nice writers like Bob Shank and also some really nasty people too. But that's the world and what makes life so interesting.

    Regards,

    Steve

    Hi Chris,

I was born in Hong Kong, educated in UK and now have returned as I decide to reside here.

But as you can see from the surname, I'm of British origin.

    Mike,

Should take the opportunity to visit the Far East someday. There are some interesting places to see.

Your poems are far from trash, they are really good. I will read some more today.

    Best regards,

    Steve
