    Anything that infuriates teens and makes them less likely to read stuff that will only encourage them (reverse psychology included) can only be a good thing.

    We're older, have more patience and can cope with one extra mouse click. Right?

    Hmm a minor can write the poem, but not read it afterwards.

    I like that philosophy. Wait 3 years and when you turn 18 you can read your own work and see just how inane it was.*

    The submission guidelines actully say that you have to have parental consent to POST poems in the explicit category, too.

    I'm sure most kids DON'T have parental consent, but there really is no way to prove it. And on the internet, there really is no way to stop it.
    Even if you go to requiring ID all they have to do is snatch Mom or Dad's ID.

    And even if they introduced a program that would not let anyone with an age of under 18 into that section or to post in that section, then magically everyone on this site would be 18+.
