Make Poverty History

Not ture Ismail, not true at all. Relative povery will always exist i think...but the kind of poverty we are talking about is the "no water no food" poverty..and there is no reason for that....and it can be changed...and it will be changed...say it with me.

Those in power, who for economic and political reasons are doing nothing about world debt and poverty...are counting on the general public feeling concerned but powerless...apathy kills.

If you are anywhere near it, come to Edinburgh tomorrow for the biggest march against this issue...and it's my birthday..woo hoo!

As long the world is divided by continents and country, ideals and dogma there will be poverty of all types.

By the time I pay out for train tickets to Edinburg, got the t-shirt, wrist band and banner I could have donated £50 to Oxfam, feed 1000 kids, have enough left for my own dinner and be happy... In fact that's what I'm going to do.

The reason for this is human nature. We're just too damned greedy for our own good. That's also why Capitalism works best.

YES everyone should do this. i have signed the list and written to my prime minister (as if he'd actually read it anyway the bastard) and i've bought bands and all that. its a great cause. END POVERTY

I think what everyone is trying to do is fantastic, it's so good that people are actually trying to do something... My only problem with it all is the fact that there are so many people who want to help, but don't have the money for it but then there's the rich people who don't do jack sh!t and don't even give it a second thought...

I hope it works, people over there have suffered so much and we have suffered so little - it definately needs to be dealt with!
