you can't ignore feelings. you can't really help what you feel.

depends on the situation... care to go into a bit more detail?

Just focus on other things, distract yourself from
them. thats about all you can do

The only thing you can do is give it time. Crappy answer I know but in my experience there is no magic way to stop feeling for someone it just happens naturally in the end xx

I must take side with the other part of this debate. Though it may be impossible to ignore feelings, that doesn't nessisarily mean you have to follow them. If your feelings said that you had to jump off of a cliff, yet you have a great life, and a great relationship, with everything to loose...Would you jump?

Don't think I haven't gone through this situation, because I have, plenty a time. One example was vice-versa. A girl liked me, and everyone and their dog knew about it, and my "feelings" told me to go for it, and I didn't ignore them. But what I did do was just put the things that were important in front of those inane feelings. And eventualy, like a memory, it seemed to go away, never in my mind again. Though I remember the situation, those "feelings" have long since past.

I was in two situations this can apply too. There was a girl named Amanda that I loved all through middle school, I hung out with her everyday, we were close, cuddling, but nothing more. I wanted so much more. I stuck by her side through boyfriends, the good and the bad. I drove me insane, everytime I saw her hug someone, touch, the closeness, I wanted so much more and EVERYONE new it. One day I snapped, called her a tease and walked away. That day I walked out of her life. I was later told by one of her close friends that she cried for weeks, after all, we were best friends, but it was too late.
The moral of the story, emotions can drive you insane, whatever your decision, be cautious, and don't set yourself up for failure.
