I have another stupid question about writing poems.

Does a poetrical writing always have to do with the author's feelings and emotions? Does a poem necessarily have to do with emotions at all? Or can poets still get away with a few emotionless poems and still have a great poem in front of them? Thanks for the help! ^^

No actually some authors write about fantasy or stuff that has never, nor will happen. Personally I write about my feelings and emotions and experiences, but to answer your other question, yes you can write poems that have nothing or everything to do with the author. And any poem has the potential to be a great poem, it is just how you put it together.

whatever you feel like writing write it, and if it comes from the heart, whether emotional or not, it will be good because you wrote it. I write sad poems a lot, but most of them arent true to me, but its just what i feel like writing. write what you want, no one can critisize you for that.

The only stupid quistion is one not asked.....
    GOT IT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
A silly quistion would be a better term to use.

    As to your quistion
You can put as much or as little of your own feelings into a poem as you want.

Thank you for the help, everyone. I wasn't feeling too confident about some of my poems, but after reading this, I feel a lot better. ^_^
