WTF?

First of all, theres something wrong with him if he feels the need to rape somebody. And if the only way he won't rape someone is watching kiddie porn, then thats an issue of self control.

Just because he didn't watch the kiddie porn and masturbate to it, does that mean he HAS to go out and rape someone? That sounds like a personal choice to me.

No, he shouldn't watch the kiddie porn...He should be able to control his unusual sexual urges. If he can't, he is mentally unstable and needs lots of help.

The very idea of perpetuating kiddie porn to reduce paedophilia makes my stomach churn.

Child porn only encourages paedophiles, it does not prevent child abuse. Paedophiles who abuse children, will not be satisfied with watching images, they will want the real thing. By saying you should condone child porn you are condoning child abuse, as it is happening somewhere for it to be recorded.

i have to say im with bob as my extreme opinion but for rationalitie's sake im with natalie. watching kiddie porn does not stop it. if you let a 12 year old watch porn and masturbate...eventually he's gonna want the real thing, no matter what, its a fact of life. and eventually he will get it, another fact of life.o.O see what i mean?

if he is just doing it then he should be shot but if he is mental ill then he should be locked up and given treatment......... thats what I think @ least.

how can you discern from him "just doing it" to him being mentally ill?if we consider everyone who does it sick fucks then everyone would be locked away and given treatment. furthermore how do you treat a person like that? how do you fix that screwed up of a mind o.O

hmmm i dont think it can be natural to do it, therefore the urge to want it must come from somewhere. i guess it probably is important to find out why people do this, and if it can be prevented. But that should be a side project, adults have a responsibility and choose to do what they want because some people are sick like that.

I think lots of people do it for power...same as rape...they want to feel power over someone. but pedophiles take it to an even extremer case than rapists, hunting down people incapable of defending themselves. getting a sick pleasure from the fact that they are small and helpless. like I said...how do you treat something like that? how do you prevent it? It must start in the home life...A having no sense of control over oneself.perhaps a history of sexual abuse or abuse. having no self worth. many people have poor self worth but think of having none. at least we have respect enough in ourselves that we have standards and principles but imagine not giving a damn because you just don't care about yourself. commiting a crime because if you get caught...you just don't care you feel you probably deserve it...like I said...how do you treat that?

I seriously doubt that watching child porn is going to lessen a pedophile's desire to molest children. If anything it is only going to increase the desire. Like when people watch regular porn, it doesn't make them want to want to have sex any less. Or does it...?

No, you're right, it doesn't. If anything it makes them think of it more often. Because they have those images in their head...
