~FAIR SKIN~

I am one of those girls "cursed" with fair skin. When I go out in the sun I burn and blister. In the past, fair skin was actually an attractive quality in women, they even bleached their skin. I myself think tans look fake, especially the orangey spray on tans. Women who are a dark brown in the winter look silly, no one gets that dark in the winter. I don't know if they realize that they are just asking for melanoma (which can be fatal)...and it does make them age faster. Do men actually find tan women attractive? Are there any men out there who still find fair skinned women attractive? How many of you girls are fair skinned? -Just so you know I have nothing against dark skin...just fake tans. I would love to have dark skin.

I'm sorry, I hope I didn't offend you. I was just curious. I didn't know if men these days found fair skinned women attractive like they did in the past. I can't tan like everyone else. I burn, I get a little tanner but I mostly freckle..I suppose that is genetic. My mom has freckles. My dad has dark skin and my mom has fair skin. I tried the whole tanning bed thing...but when I heard about the girl who died from melanoma it scared me to death. I know many people who have skin cancer, and their biggest advice to everyone is to stay out of the tanning beds.

I tan rather than burn. And men...I don't really think they think about skin all too much...

My brother tans so easily!! I went to Bermuda for 5 weeks and got a really light tan and hes browner than i was whilst hes been in the UK!!!
I'd love to tan, but i just don't. I too burn and peel which is really icky.
I dont think men really care what colour skin you got though xx

I am very fair skinned and i've been living in jamaica for over 2 years now. It's not that it's really hard for me to get a tan, it's just i dont wnat to waste time tanning in the hot sun to fit in to this temporary tan craze when later on in life you'll feel the affects.

i am soo white its not even funny....

i have yet to find anyone here in my town that i know that is whiter than me....people try to challenge me to see and they think theyre whiter.....but NO ONE i know is whiter....

sometimes i wish i was a lil tanner...but id rather have unwrinkled skin later in life...than be tan and possibly get cancer now...

people always say "well if u would just go out in the sun for a lil bit...." well i have in the past and i just burn and blister...and go back just as white...

omg i am really white too, i practicly glow in the dark! lol and i always burn when i go outside but lately i have been using this dark tanning oil stuff and nothing else just that and it was amazing! i actually tanned without burning, it wasnt a really dark tan but it was nice to actually be a little darker if you know what i mean! I dont think guys care too much about the color of girls skin so you have nothing to worry about!

Ahhhh you all complain so much. I have that glow-in-the-dark white skin and some freckles and beh, who really cares? I just wish there was some sun. Cold cold cold rainy winter *cries*

i would like to hear some male opinions here. i have very "fair" skin. i think too-tan doesn't look good or healthy, but a light-medium tan would be super nice. I have such sensitive skin...and now I can't even stay out in the sun....or go tanning.....so i'm gonna go back to whiter than white.

it's odd how fair skin used to be attractive...really how is it now? i think fair skin only looks good if you have good skin...like clear skin....meh.
