Whatever's in your heart to write, then that's what you should write. Express yourself. Try not to think about rhyming entirely, because not all poems need to. Of course, you should try to keep it flowing and try to keep the reader captivated. That's what every poet needs to do, but don't lose sight of what you're trying to write by concentrating on the rhyme scheme and flow. The poem would end up sucking if you did that.
