if your having trouble rhyming you could always listen to songs that could help you out. Rap and R&B i think are the best ways because they do a lot of rhyming obviously.

hmm....if you think about it,almost ALL music rhymes.....why single it down to rap and RnB?..... a lot of other music rhymes just as much,if not more...be open minded next time...

well thats your opinion. maybe you shouldnt focus on just one type of music. stop being closed minded and start being open minded. how are they shallow.

everyone has there own opinion about music, and what they think it is shallow and not.

i personally think music is some style of poetry, both are trying to send a message and each hold more depth than is seen at first glance.

Didn't mean to piss anyone off, but I find most RnB lyrics extremely shallow...

Some rap, though, can be really meaningful:)

I do listen to all kinds of music except for trance...

basically all i was trying to say is that R&B is what i prefer to listen to when im having trouble to think of things. R&B is what you want to listen to when you love someone cause thats what its mainly about. But for the sad and depression poems, if im having a hard time thinkin of different words i'll listen to rock. mainly seether, crossfade, MCR, etc..
well post some more opinions.... thanks to everyone else that posted their opinions.

R&B and rap are not always shallow. Not good, classic R&B. Like the Moody Blues. The Who. Now that's good floetry. Eminem, Outkast, Tupac, any of the original members of N.W.A. are great for the rap sound. Michael Tolcher is also a favorite of mine. I also listen to pop/rock songs. I love the way Green Day spins a rhyme, and Linkin Park for darker moods, also anyone The Matrix writes for = poetic silver.
