i'm so pissed at my dad. ok. here's the thing. he is a traveling construction worker, right. well my mom told me today, the most reason why people choose to travel in any job, for an extended amount of time, is that they don't want to deal w/ everyday household crap. more less, they don't want to deal with FAMILY (that's a big one), chores, bils, whatnot, you get the point. he doesn't want to deal w/ us on a day to day basis. that pisses me off so bad. here i thought my dad loved us a lot, not that he doesn't, but i thought he loved us more than he apparently does. and come to find out, he is just using he job to get out of the major part of parenting, being around the kids. i can't even express how much it pisses me off. i don't even want to hear his voice, much less see him. for all i care he can keep his a** in north carolina. as long as he's there away from us i guess he is fine. it's not like we are wild and crazy, we are calm compared to most kids. that pisses me off so bad. |

Well, you don't know his situation but maybe he just wants to travel and having a family slowed his dreams down? I'm pretty sure he still does love you, and he could be having problems with your mum. |

Umm...Have some respect for him after all hes making money to pay your bills, to support his family, to give you dosh. My dad drives me nuts cause he's always practicing for his work. He is an entertainer and let me tell you-hearing the same songs played and played over and over every day until they are perfect for 16 and half years (esspecialy whilst studying for exams) |

Please don't get mad at me asking you this I may be completely off the point. But because your mum was the one that said these things to you could it be that she wanted you to have this reaction? What I'm really saying is would your mum tell you something to get you mad at your dad when he might not really deserve it? |

she wouldn't do that....i'm not offended or anything. it's just that my mom's friend's husband also said that's why he travels too....and she's talked to others also. she said he told her that. now she may be lying to me..but i don't think she is. i realize he pays the bills still, and still puts food on the tables....but it still is cold of him to use his job to get out of seeing us everyday. |
