Older Friends??

I have alot of friends. but few of which are my age. I had a bestfriend who was my age, we did EVERYTHING together, but I could never talk to her. Anyways, we aren't bestfriends anymore, we just drifted apart. but when I was dealing with my "depression"(I hate that word) I only wanted to talk to my OLDER friends. Like Jen, shes 3 years older than me but her and I are best friends. I have another friend like that, same age and everything. Then there is my dance teacher Amy, who any of you who know me know that I have put alot of trust in her and shes broken it, time and time again, but somehow I always seem to want to talk to her. I always want to tell her whats going on. Or my sisters who I barely know and thier ages range from 22 - 31.

Is this wierd? Does anyone else tend to follow the older crowd?

hmm ive been in situations where even tho a friend has broken my trust i still want to confide in them simply because im comfortable doing it and they're comforting and what not. as for the older friends thing, about 50 percent or more of my friends are one year older than me.. it sucks cuz their graduatin next year:(:(

But thats not the big of a difference, alot of my friends are one year older than me, or one year younger... but I mean I have quite a few friends like 3 -4 years older then me, and some who are even 6 years older then me!

It's habitual for high school students. They want someone to look up to. I'm eighteen and have friends who are 15 - 24, so it's no big deal. Older people tend to be more mature and worth while to talk to anyway. of course, that doesn't apply to ALL older people. A certain 24 year old I know isn't exactly the shining example of maturity... (Men... So stupid...)

my best friend jordan is 17, liz was 16, and jay was 17. and i hang out with alot of juniors at school and there all 17 but i have good friends that are my age.

All of my friends are at least a year older than me. So it's not weird don't worry!!

I'm so happy I just found a new bestfriend tonight! Shes amazing and her name is dottie.. I met her at the beggining of this year, but we just talked for like 1 hour and I just went on and on about shit in my life and she REALLY listened!! I love that!!! LOVE YOU DOTTIE!!!

Uhm, i hung with the older crowd when i was a teen, because i was as mature and as understanding as they were. Now i guess i am that ''older crowd'' (21) and still i find myself hanging with people older then me, just because im mature. But believe me, i know how to have fun. heh. Its just i dont really hang out with people younger then me, because its like that mentallity level isnt where mine is. unless you are kewl, and mature.
