It would be nice to have sensible or helpful comments ("awsome" doesn't help much), but they are rare. And whoever is saying that crap about pot.. all I can say is "wtf"? Usually I'll try to have a comment with a sentence that tries to help the poet, but sometimes I just can't make one. Though, its nice to have something to build off of..

yea i agree with justari i had that happen to me just the other day... a girl imed me n asked me to give her some comments, n i read her stuff, n didnt really think it was anygood.. so i told her... that she needed to not try so hard n develope her style n she wud get better with time... n she posts how stupid i am.. n shes a great writer n im an @$$ n crap like that.. so honesty isnt always the best policy

"Awesome" is a word I've been over-using lately. But when I really mean it, when reviewing stuff, it means I am in total "awe" of the entire work. Like, I identify with and admire it completely. and possibly the artist themselves, because I may not know what else to say for any number of reasons.

Indeed, "real" poems, i.e. poems realting a true event are usually easier to relate to, and hence are much more appealing.

I try to be helpful with my posts and comments, though sometimes I don't have much to say other then "great job, I loved how you wrote this." Some times I write more then that. It just depends on when a poem really hits me.
