    Yeah. Hi.
I joined here in June.. so yeah, I'm pretty new. But I was curious as to your thoughts on how I could improve my poetry.

    Here's my poetry.

    Hi,

Besides writing more, you should also take time to read the compositions from some of the better writers and you will pick up allot about structure, poem styles and techniques. You will surely improve quickly.

There are many masters on this site which you can learn from like Bob Shank, Mike Glass, Chris Walker (just to name a few, there are so many!).

I have personally found that I have learnt allot from them and they are the gems of this site.

    Oh by the way, welcome!

    Regards,

    Steve

Thanks. ^_^ I was reading some of Bob Shank's poetry when I was browsing through the poems. I haven't heard of the other names you listed, I'll have to check them out. Thanks for welcoming me. =)

    Welcome.

LEarn from others, that is the only thing that really will help you...

and do not be afraid to change your style...I've done that, and at least I think I have improved.

Lol, yeah I know. I do that on purpose a lot, because I still have a ways to go on vocabulary. And I like to write about the same thing in different forms, so I end up using forced rhymes a lot. I'm trying to quit =P
