Okay, my parents recently found out about my bisexuality (they read all my previous IM convos and e-mails) and have now banned me from communicating with my GF. I love her very much and I want to fix this but I'm nervous about standing up to my parents. I want to tell them that they should support me and not punish me but I'm worried that if I try to talk to them they won't listen or I won't know what to say. Any advice? Thanks. |

yea u have to sit down and talk to them...tell them that u understand their fears hence y u need their support. tell them calmly that u cant help who u fall in love with and are sorry that u cant be exactly who u want them to be (guilt trip...always works ;) - not saying that ur not what ur folks want u to be...just guilt trip usually works hehe) u are going to have to have this dicussion even tho u are scared of what they are going to say (say that bit too them aswel) because u cant carry on being miserable. cant u introduce ur gf to ur folks? maybe they cud fall in love with her too!? just try ur best for them to understand...all u can do is try and i hope that they are more understanding (they are prob just in shock at the mo) |
