Borderline Emotional Personality Disorder?

OK, so I had a meeting with the CPN (Community Pshyicatric (sp?) Nurse) today and they told me that the Mental Health team diagnosed me as having 'Borderline Emotional Personality Disorder' as a child.

I was just wondering a few things:

    a) Does anybody know anything about this type of disorder, personal experiences, or just facts?

    b) Has anyone else found out as an Adult, or older teen, about a diagnosis that they were given as a child but were uninformed of at the time?

    c) How many people, like me, think that a diagnosis they were given in the past was an unfair assumption of their own behaviour(s)?

I haven't heard of that, but I've heard of something that sounds similar called Multiple Personality Disorder where people seem to be happy one minute and screaming angrily the next.
I agree it's unfair to say that about people though
