So, I made a poem called "The Fat Kid" and it was my first time rhyming, and only my second poem. Even though i tried to rhyme, it felt a bit forced. Does anyone have any tips on rhyming or making a poem w/o rhyming.

Well, I'd have to say if you have to sit there and force a rhyme out, it's just gonna come out bad, but that's me opinion. Just try to think in your head what you want to write, that's how I do and usally goes well. Unfortunatly I usally do it while lying in bed and a hole lot of poems goes lost because I don't write/type them down:p hehe...

Well good luck, hope my confusing words helped a little

    Best wishes,
    Patrik

Well for me in some parts of my poems rhyme and some parts dont. one of my best poems on this site doesnt have much rhyme at the begining and it starts out kinna like a poorly put together book. but ppl keep reading and they love it. its called ha ha your dead. if your interested. my advice is think hard read other ppls poems to get ideas. and mix rhymeing and not rhymeing.

a poem doesnt have to necessarily rhyme to be good, try writing what you feel just so you get an idea of what its about etc, then think about placing different words in there when youve wrote it to make it rhyme.

WHOA I HAVE HAD TO USE THAT WEBSITE TOO! lol it really helps alot. When you get stuck on a word, and it seems like the only one that will work for it but you can't find anything else to rhyme with it, you go to that site and it shows you what would rhyme with it. It comes in handy, but don't over use it, just use it when your 100% stuck. ha ha
