For me, both can be equally fruitful. |

I'd have to say both too. I always write what pops in to my head and I don't think I've ever sat down and just made a poem over a long period of time. Unfortunatly alot of great poems go lost since people can get a peom in there head and not have a chance to actully write it down, and then later forget what they where going to write. |

i think both. poems come and go even if some take longer than others. i find them both to be the same in greatness |

most of my poems come to me real quickly, but sometimes takes days to complete one and be satisfied by it. Sometimes I actually think that I need to take more time, to see what I can do to make them better. =) |

i personally like ones that come to me on a spure of the moment, like i wrote my poem *that one beer* after i attended a graduation party where alot of people got very drunk. i think that one took me and hour, and i love it i think it displays a powerful message. |

I will only write a poem if its there... on the tip of my tongue. Most of the time, I use poetry to express my feelings. I don't do it because of bordem. |
