i need advice from a guy

i really like this guy. and he just recently told me that he's liked me for about 3 years. but he's had a girlfriend for about a year. he says he likes me more but he doesn't wanna break her heart. so he's not sure if he wants to break up with her. when he first told me i aksed him why he didn't say anything before. he said he thought i was "too good for him" then i asked him why he started going out w/ the other girl and he said he thought that if he had a girlfriend that maybe his feelings for me would go away. what i wanna know is is any of this true? or is he just full of shit. one of my other guy friends told me that he thinks he just told me this because his girlfriend isn't giving him any and that he just wants to get in my pants. i don't know what to do. if you have any advice i'd really appreciate it.

OMG he sounds like me. I have liked this guy for 3 YEARS he had had a gf for arond 1 YEAR and I havent said anything to him because I THINK HE'S TO GOOD FOR ME. Lol...odd.

ok finally, someone at a decent age to think about a relationship. first off, dont think about it too much. There are other things in life to be thinking about at this time, such as your future and what you're going to do with it. Once you have that figured out, everything will fall in place. I'm 19 right now, and I could careless about a girl right now. I'm single, and I'm enjoying it. I don't need to worry, I have the rest of my life to focus on. Just enjoy your youth and dont stress over little things you will end up regretting..

thanks for the advice but it doesn't really help me. i still don't know if i should believe him.
