Can any one remember this? You take a word and then add it to this song. My name is Sarah so I'll use that.

Sarah bi-barah stickle arah fi farah fi farah stickle arah my name is bi-barah.

It's got a really annoying tune and for some reason it's stuck in my head. What other annoying ones did you use to sing?

That French one (The spellings are going to be TOTALLY wrong):

    Faro jacer Faro jacer
    Doe mai vou
    Doe mai voe
    Semolenatina
    Semolenatina

Hmm...for some reason I don't even think these are the words but it was really annoying!

And another song is annoying but I love it:

    Peanut, Peanut butter - Jelly
    Peanut, Peanut butter - Jelly
    Peanut, Peanut butter - Jelly
    Peanut, Peanut butter - Jelly

    Hehehe

Yeah it was on Barney(My little sister has the Barney CD) Boy does that song give me the chills.
Another children rhyme that really freaks me out is Ring Around The Rosie. I was six when I learned the meaning to it.

I learned it when I was in the library with my friend. We were arguing about something having to do with Greek yogurt (yah, i know weird) so I pulled out a book on Ancient Greece(thought i'd find something about greek yogurt, I was pretty dumb back then) when we happened to stumble onto to a page that showed the meaning to Ring Around The Rosie. Now, whenever I hear little kids singing that song.. it just doesn't seem right for little kids singing a song that they have no idea to what it even means.

Ring around the rosie(don't know what that means, lol)

A pocket full of posies(there was a sickness in ancient greece that was spreading into the City-states, people had to carry flowers in their pockets because when they coughed they had to cough into the flowers so others wouldn't get other people contaminated.)

Ashes, ashes, we all fall down
( a lot of people were ill and alot of people started to die. Some people died on the streets. For example people were so sick that they fell dead where they were standing.)
That's all I remember. But not so long ago I heard of another meaning to this rhyme, it had something to do with the Apocalypse. Well does anyone out there have a better example of what this means? Give me a break I learned this 7 years ago!

This is the song that never ends... Yes it goes on and on my friends! Some people started singing it, not knowing what it was. And they'll continue singing it forever just because. I heard from History lessons that "Ring - a - ring - of roses" Was about the Black plague:

You did indeed get rings on your body, and people used to carry poses round with them to help with the smell of the dead bodies etc. When you caught the plague it would start by sneezing (atishoo atishoo) then, "we all fall down" is pretty self explanitary.

    "ring a ring of roses
    a pocket full of poses
    atishoo atishoo
    we all fall down"
