Wasted poems

I don't know if anyone has the same "problem" as I do. I can sit for 30-40 minutes writing a fairly long and good poem, then just deleting it because one single line doesn't fit as I want it too.

Does anyone else do that? I always regret it but still do it, lol.

I do the same, but i only spend 10 minutes at most on a poem.

I can spend some time writing a poem and if I don't like it even after I've tried editing it, will throw it out.

    Then start all over again.

no I dont usually get that problem because well I always end up keeping the poem and then just deleting the line that doesnt fit properly.

I also do that. It drives me crazy when I do though.

I don't do that, i guess you should just go over the line over and over until you find something else better and if you don't then leave it, one line isn't going to really effect a poem that much to make it bad if the rest is really good.

Seems like more people than I have that problem. Nice to know, even though a bit sad I guess, alot of well written poetry goes wasted over a bad mood or a line that won't fit. bleeeh;p

I usually just write what comes into my head whether it rhymes or not . Sometimes I might change a word or 2 if I don't like it .Or a title that suits it better
