My mom is going to know!!

okay, well i just told my friend today that i cut.. and he told me it was stupid. (well i used to cut) and then i told him that i got help for it.. and he said he didnt feel comfortable talking to me anymore. then we started talking again.. and im like, i got help okay? im better.. its over. and then hes like okay, i gotta go call my mom. and he signed off! what if he tells her? my mom doesnt know.. im freaking here WHAT DO I DO?

Don't worry...it'll be ok, my parents found out from my friends noisy mother (long story short) and everything worked out ok even though i'm still going to the counselor *rolls eyes* just wait and see how things turn out.

Well, my parents found out I cut, and that I tried to kill myself a long time ago... And they shouted and screamed but to be honest that was the reaction I deserved.. Its better for them to find out because they have to in the end, I go to see psycholigists (sp?) now but thats good because I want to get better..

This sounds bad, but if you already stopped and you already got help for it, you can just deny it. Can't prove it, right?

Or if she finds out, since you already quit, you could be honest and tell her that you got help and you're better and blah blah blah to put her mind at ease.

oh hun, i bet everyone has been in this situation. My mom found out. and i was very mad. infact my mom just told me it was stupid, and made me sit next to her while she called the doctor about a check up and everything. in the end everything turned out okay, had to clear my room of my razor blades, saftey pins, knives. but i had to get on the internet to get suicidal hotline numbers and now i call those whenever i feel like cutting and scratching, and remember you told your friend because you wanted help, you'll realize that

i told my frend the other day...and she freaked out and now she wont talk to me and im scared ..because i think she'll tel everyone ... but you should be ok God wantes to help you if that means letting our parents find out then thats what it means

I think it depends on how much your friends can deal with, I told my best friend and she was concerned obviously but she didn't pressure me to get help, didn't threaten to tell anyone but helped me through it and all was good :)

It doesn't sound like he was going to tell his mother, it sounds like he was making an excuse in order to stop talking to you.
