My name is Shelby, I'm 14 years old. I -Love- music. Heavy metal and Hard rock all the way. I spend most of my day writing, drawing, and playing cideo games. I'm not very tall, about 5'3. and I'm 109 lbs (maybe less by now) I much prefer to wear baggy black jeans and a tight tank, I hate blue jeans. You said a ONE paragraph, but I got a couple. Sorry, it's just the first journal entry we did back in 7th grade and I liked what I wrote, so I saved it.

Everyone learns something new about themselves all the time and there is never one sure answer to the question "Who am I?" Psychology is the study of the human mind, but even Freud cannot define just one person. I am that: a person. I am an individual. My mind works differently from others and there is no one identical to me.

I was born and raised in the Philippines under the watchful eyes of my parents, teachers, nannies, and maids. They were the beginning facets who shaped a mere silhouette of who I am now. My years of studying in a Catholic school introduced me to a rigorous curriculums, strict rules and regulations, and just being a nice person. It also molded me to focus on my studies. However, it also made me indecisive because I became used to having decisions made for me. At the age of four, a volcano erupted and buried my home and my life in ashes. This horrifying experience taught me strength and the will to get back on the horse once I have fallen. It has also taught me unity and strengthened my appreciation to the simple things in life.

When I turned seven years old, I moved to the United States. By that time, I have had five different houses and schools. This influenced my love of traveling and desire to see different places. Moving to the US opened my mind to the importance of tolerance and diversity. It, however, exposed me to harsh stereotypes and prejudice. It lowered my confidence because it gave me the mentality that I cannot maintain lasting friendships. That is why friends are extremely important to me. They are my source of comfort and a shoulder to lean on.

These are just some of the things that made a huge impact in my life. To go into everything will take forever. Nevertheless, this is me.

I am a lost mature kid in middleschool who is still deathly afraid of high school, and yet I pursue an education that will eventually put me into one.

I am a responsible son but a venomous younger brother. I am a perfectionist who is never satisfied with my work but I still stop in my tracks in fear of falling down. I am shy and have trouble speaking out in public but I talk non-stop with friends and family.

I am the one who lies in bed thinking, "I am feeling too lazy to do my homework," and yet I get up to do it anyway. I am a kid who changes his mind a lot but when I really believe in something, I stand up for it.

I constantly ask myself, "Who am I?" I am a kid full of changes. I am a kid with a past, a present, a future, and hopefully someone who will leave behind a legacy. I think of myself as a role model but do not want people to follow me. I want to be my own person, my own individual.

I believe that I am all this and much more. Then again, I also believe that I am a kid who is still trying to find himself.

My name is longer than this paragraph...(I go by my nickname JJ) I'm 17, 3rd oldest of 7 siblings, kind of a tomboy..but a pretty one lol. I've been homeschooled all my life. Intellectually, I'm probably the least smartest in my family but I'm pretty creative with other things. My hobbies are many: reading, writing, sewing, cooking... basketball, roller blading, swimming, running, construction work, electrical wiring, fixing cars...etc, etc...I love my family and I have high regard for people who consider family as the most important thing in their life. Especially parents who are always there for their children.

Hey, my name is Ariana. Most call me Ari. I'm thirteen, but people tell me that i am older in soul than i am in my age. My life is always connected with music in some way, and i'm glad that it is. Music is my way of showing my emotion without having to be vulnerable to anybody else but myself and the songs playing. I enjoy participating in debates. :) School is my main priority right now, so there's no slacking for myself this year...responsibility is a key word in my everyday life but it only builds me up for tomorrow. I've been living in a basement for over nine years, but it's quite comfy. ^_^ It's my safe haven down here, and i don't appreciate it much when people come down....kind of wrong, i know, but i like my privacy. I'm an independent person, so i don't like to date very much...i love my family, past the fights and imperfections, cos i know that in the end, they're something i'm always going to have because they're in my blood. I also think that life is beautiful. Sure, i have my crawl-into-a-hole days, but i don't stay there forever. That's not how it's supposed to be. No matter what anyone says, life is fairer than death, so quit whining and enjoy.

Hey. My name is Atomic Thi Phale Ho (laugh if you want, it doesn't effect me anymore). I have 16 years of experiences. I was born in South Vietnam and moved to America when I was about 1. Now I am currently living in the armpit of America, New Jersey. I am the oldest of 5 children and since I am the oldest, more is expected of me. My parents are divorced, but now I have a step-father. My life hasn't been carefree as I have led my friends to believe, there are responsibilities that comes with my role as the oldest. I was brought up with out hugs and kisses from mother, which now has effected me in a big way. I don't do hugs.....at all. Well, this will be kind of tough to explain in words as most things are about me..

Well on the outside I feel as if I am someone who is somewhat cute. Prolly not 'highrank' but slightly above fair. But I dont really focus nor care about my outside to much. My inside can only be described as deep. I seem to think of myself as a very generous person. One who is always thinking of others. If I was someone on the outside, I whould think that this person has set himself in life right after everything he has gone through. And is amazing what he has turned into throughout the years of struggle with his family. I think of myself as someone who know what true love is. And personally I feel that most people have no idea. I cant really elaborate what I think or feel about myself in words it is just to deep. I cannot think of phrases or words to fully express the depth of what I think of my inner self. Love is an amazing thing once you find it within yourself..
