HELP.. please!!

hi all.. ive once read this story bout a girl whose dad had to go to war and died ther and then she grew up n got married and her son grew up 2 be a teenager or smthn and had to go out and said "Im too tough to end up dead" or smthn lyk that, but then sm1 knocked on her door to tell her therz been an accident and that he died, then her marriage came to an end and she committed suicide or smthn lyk that.. ther was this one line she kept repeating wich was also the title of the poem.. if u can help me out id reli appreciate it a lot.. this poem is reli important to me
