I'm secretly laughing, because for every person that's been mentioned, there are ten more that we haven't come across yet who deserve to be mentioned, and a hundred more that couldn't write to save their lives.

Ballnmatt had made many different accounts, and was commenting on his own work, and now to find out he is a plagiarizer to boot. The sad thing is another plagiarizer won the weekly or should I say monthly contest. It’s to bad that so many people have such low self-esteem that it holds them back from writing their own poetry, sure not everyone is going to be a pro when they start out, but you have to start somewhere, if you have a love for writing. Everyone has room to grow, that is what this site is about helping to broaden your writing abilities, it’s just to bad not everyone is able to see it that way. I have learned so much since becoming a member on this site with the help of so many truly talented people. Another advantage to this site is it’s free, I know the problem will continue, but thanks to the many members helping to try and end plagiarism I am sure you’re appreciated by the site administrator, and all the other legit members. If I had more time I would love to help too.

I will add my list of favorites later tonight I have quite a few! :)

Well, I was wondering if any of you talented poets could help me. I write simple poems with basic word schemes. I have unlocked that internal part of me that holds a treasure of deeply profound thoughts and feelings, but I can't verbalize it in poetry. When I try to put what I'm feeling in poetic form, it becomes forced and loses it emotional appeal. Maybe you all could read some of my work, and tell me how I can deviate from this trite and mundane pattern.

To begin with, practice makes perfect - back to basics, more writing and plenty more reading. With more reading of other poetic works you will learn more from others. It is a simple learning curve. Try it, it will work.

Write what you feel and what comes to you naturally, you don't have to force it. Writing is not about use of fancy words. Some of the best poetry is simple and uses very plain words. But when it is well structured, organised, has a good flow, it can be so eloquent.

Just my 2 cents worth, hope that helps a little.

good advice steve, hope i also can learn your style writing.

The best way to make your poetry good and unique is to peculiar words that have special meanings to you (mine are darling, crimson, shattered AND voice, so don't steal any of mine, lol).

If the words themselves show your unique inner thoughts and strong emotion, than the work will speak volumes more to anyone who comes across it.

I dunno, I'm a musician and a poet, not an english professor, so that's the best way I can articulate it. : )

p.s. I hate plagerisers, what's the point, what can you honestly get out of compliments on something you clearly know isn't yours and never was? Why even post if it's not yours, it has no true meaning unless it's written in ink from your pen and your hands (or keyboard, in this case)? Honestly, what's the point? Is it just for the fine pleasure of wasting the time of people who treasure it and honor it and take it very seriously?! I don't get it. They're stupid and have way too much time to waste.
