weight issue????anyone got diet tips

    ok in 2 months its summer here in australia and i want to shed a few kilograms(pounds) and look my best ....i don't want to trow up no more or binge eat or not eat at all i want to do it the healthy way... but i need some tips on how to do that...if you have any helpfull tips it would be much appriciated if you shared them with me

    Join a gym! There are memberships that are about $15 per fortnight, so they aren't all very pricey. Join with a friend, go once a week after school at first then start to build that time up. you can both have competitions at who can run longer on the treddy or something, that way you'll be working towards a goal and burn more fat.

    When you eat heathilly these things will help: get some extra strong mints. SO, that way, if you're bored and getting a bit peckish, dont resort to food, have a mint and that way anything you eat wont taste that great. Or get some sugarfree gum to chew on.
    Dont have money during school, so you dont go to the canteen and buy a lot of junk.
    Try not to buy junk in the first place- that way, you wont eat it.

    Get some exercise videos. They're funny to watch, and can really get you working.

    If you live in Melbourne, Kmart have tredmills for $99. Pretty good deal, plus if you're like me and feel like an idiot running in public, it'd be a great buy.

    Eat a balanced diet, eat less and excersise more, walking burns off as many calories as running and is just as good, also swimming cycling, anything really, good luck.. but you should also learn to be happy the way you are, it will be easier to lose weight if you are happy

    First off, do you really need to lose weight? Take your BMI (body mass index) and it will tell you whether you need to lose weight or not and how much. If you do need to cut down on stuff containing alot of sugar also bread, rice and pasta are high in calories and kilojules. And EXCERISE! That's the main thing. Your energy input (what you eat) has got to be less than your energy output (the fat you burn) for you to lose weight. Good Luck and keep at it. It's hard at first but once your in the habit it will be easy. Oh last thing don't completely cut the things you love out of your diet. Do it gradually and once in a while treat yourself. It will give you an incentive to keep going.

    i think i need to lose weight its hard because i have aneamia (serve energy/iron defishency)(i duno how to spell) and i have injections for energy every 2 weeks and i am sumtimes hospitalised for exuastgon....i have to take it easy while exercising...i have it because of my poor diet...i don't eat red meat or vegies or fruit ...i basicly live on frozen rasberries, rice crakers,pretcils and water all 98% or more fat free with no iron (well not much).......................

    I agree with Taylor, just watch what you eat but don't diet! it caan turn bad..:|
    Don't eat between meals and eat full meals...good luck x)

    I HAVE FOUND THE SOLUTION THAT WORKS FOR ME! :D

    Ya know how we all just happen to want to lose weight and we're eataholics? well... try this.

    go to the store and buy something you think would look great on you...except 3 or more sizes smaller than your size. thats a great goal :)

    my diet here is pretty good:
    im intolerant to veggies but im learning... here:

    eat only veggies,fruits,meats,water and juice all day... crackers if you're hungry but NOOO bread,rice or oatmeal please... i luv those but its time to let go :'(

    great drinks to try that'll help you thin down:
    propel fitness water
    aquafina,crystal geyser,dasani,etc. water
    real fruit juice
    homemade juice pops 100% juice

    great foods (WARNING,MICROWAVES MAKE YOU FAT! WARNING!WARNING!) [I advise you to cook your own food on a stove =D it works way better & more healthy ] :

    meat-scrambled eggs,low fat hamburger patties,asian sausage links

    grains-crackers.... i dunno wat else. (saltines BEEP BEEP)

    fruits-apples,oranges,plums,etc. grapefruits are extremely good.

    veggies-if you hate them raw try them grilled on pizza. tastes great! :) lettuce,carrots,potatoes,corn,yams,watermelon & more

    YES,WATER MELONS A FRUIT!

    P.S. no need to eat little amounts. it's an all you can eat diet! yay! *crowd gasps in awe at a diet that you can finally have without cutting back* but dont eat too much bread or rice ok ? good job.

    lol!! If anyone should care about their weight, it's me! I eat nonstop, lol! BUT I DONT GIVE A HOOT HOW I LOOK! As long as I have my ghetto booty, I'm set..lol.

    just eat this:

    crispbread with low fat meat, cheese, vegetables or something like that
    drink a glas of milk or juice for breakfast

    low fat youghurt (less than 1%)

    make sure you eat proper dinner, meat/fish/vegetables not fried things

    don't eat after 8 pm it makes you fatter to eat late

    eat many small meals instead of a few bigs eat fruit between meals and take walks or excersise, I lost 10 kg's in a very few months just because I changed my diet!!!! and you will still be healthy, just keep away from sweets

    hey im 14 in australia too, i live in Perth, and i feel the EXACT same thing.....i want to be able to hang at the beach in nice bathers like everyone else, but im embarassed! i got a pair of rollerblades.....and when the weather is nice, i just go out for a couple of hours, and listen to my iPod, its really good and healthy too! good luck!

    first dont go on a diet that your dr hasnt approved!!! second stop worring about your weight!! i have a FAST metabolism and i eat like mad and still i am underweight. i would give anything to be able to gain, instead of being called ANNIE!!! (anorexic) people really watch me eat and are amazed cause i dont go throw up after! makes me sick that they have this issue about MY weight!!! BLOW OFF!

    Just cut back on surgary and fatty foods and eat a healthy balanced diet. Set yourself weight targets and try and work towards them. Just dont starve yourself or anything. Also exercise often, it really does work :)

    p.s. dont truly cut back on food. my neice said it causes ulcers.

    just replace them with healthier food,and eat as much healthy food as you can because they have less empty calories. you wont be craving junk food much,either,if you get used to just fruits,yogurt,granola+ for dessert..

    oh yeah! frozen yogurt is way better than ice cream for diets.

    and diet sodas are bad for your health :)

    just some extra tips.

    if you have 5- 6 small meals a day instead of 3 large ones, then it speeds up your metabolism and helps to burn fat.

    my dad is a nutricionist and from what Ive picked up I'll tell you that to lose weight you have to eat protein. protein doesnt make you fat, builds muscle, gives you energy and also fills you to the brim, leaving you without that big "dessert space" that makes you want to gorge after each meal.
    Also, eating six small meals a day is advisable, but if not just make sure that you get meat, nuts, veggies and whole wheats.
