Feeling left out ..

Would you feel hurt if you found out your closest friend was having a gathering/party to celebrate your exam results with a load of people .. and you weren't invited? You're both extremely close and have never argued etc, and she knows how left out you tend to feel, but still doesn't invite you. Do you feel you have the right to be hurt?

We're like best friends, both agree we're the best friends each other has had, knows absolutely everything about each other. Like the friendship 6 year olds have, except were 16. Yeah it hurts majorly, and yes third wheel does suck big time!

No nothing else seems odd, she does it every now and again, simply because I don't really "fit in" with the rest of the group she hangs around in, but she doesn't seem to make time for the rest of her best friends.

yeah...whenever i hang out with my friend sarah and some of her other friends are around i ALWAYS feel out of place and unwanted...it sucks, she barely talks to me when her other friends are around....so i just kind of stand there awkwardly lol...

Yeah it does feel horrible, she said that she's here to talk no matter what it is, and I know I should I should tell her but if your best friend told you something like this how would you feel about it? Would you be annoyed at her? Or would you feel bad about making her feel this way?

i feel that if i open up i'll scare them away or burden them....or they'll think i complain too much....i just want to be accepted, you know? but it seems like if i open up and pour ALL of my feelings out, no one will accept me (don't get me wrong, i do share a lot of my feelings, but not everything....especially lately, i haven't been very open to my friends at all...)

no, kim, i wouldn't be annoyed...if i was killing one my friends, i would want to know, it would really break my heart, but i would want to fix things....i don't want my closest friends to be distant....even though i can be a lot of the time....

Ok, thanks :) I think I will try and tell her tomorrow, or maybe wait til after Thursday when the stress of exam results aren't around. Thing si though, I always try and involve her with different friends I have, I introduced to her to my other group of friends, invited her to a gathering we were having, invite her out with us ..
