Intelligent Chat - Is porn art?

People wouldn't list it under Art, because that would be a disgrace to other people who does actual Art, but however I must admit. Pornography takes lots of creative thinking.

Like dressing up in dominatrix is creative, because it belongs under the "Design Fundamental" section.

It's not like people just got up and decide "Oooh! Likes videotape ourselves having sex! Then maybe afterwards, we can sell it!"

It's not a high class part of the Art World, but I still consider it art, no matter how much of a disgrace it is to us all.

Now JPM, if you can so kindly define porn to me. =P

But just give me a diet of the amature stuff - I can't go for the boob-job pro. Give me risky variety and I'll call it art!

I personally don't see porn as art but i guess i could see where people are coming from if they say it is.. as long as it's done in a 'respectable' way... lol... as if !!!!

I cannot consider porn as art in any form other then movie like qualities. i myself never have seen porn nor do i plan to. i think that is a more personal thing to be doing

porn is not art its a way for people to make money of the horney minds on males. Plain and simple

no not art. but lyla males are not the only ones who enjoy porn. there may not be many women who will admit it, but they watch it too. whether for the enjoyment with their mate or alone.

okok let me refrase my first post. Porn is a way for people to make off the horny minds and males and females alike....

But the mind in its horny state is still very creative. Hence....the games you play in bed.

Creativity is Art, therefore...porn is Art.

i've been told that its not art unless you can look at it with your mother... i believe thats a pretty good rule..
