That's ok 5 years ago I didn't know what it was either. It is a disease of central nervous system . In simple term your nerves are surrounded by a coating called mylin (like the coating on wires per say) it slowly eats away at the mylin leaving spots revealed . within 9 days I lost total vision in my left eye 5 years ago only to recover about 50% It can cause memory problems , shakes and tremors , paralyasis ,speech problems, severe pain, pins and needles feeling (like when your foot falls asleep) but it doesn't stop for days or weeks..mood swings and extreme fatigue and so much more . It affects mostly women but it has now been see in children . It can eventually lead to being in a wheelchair (which I hope I never see) |

Thanks Kim for sharing that with me . I also have a 13 year old son that I sometimes have a difficult time with . Sometimes I think it might be because he is scared for me and afraid to get close for fear that something bad is going to happen to me. If I may ask how do you feel about your dad ? Does it scare you ? So many people in this world have this disease but up until 5 years ago I didn't have a clue what it was . |

It doesn't really scare me, he's had it ever since I was born so I've never known any different, but I know there's like stuff to control it so it may not get too bad. I just have to take things as they come, I can't do anything whatsoever about it so I may aswell live lie the same as any child would. Sometimes we don't even notice he has it because we're so used to it, it's fine though. |

My maths teacher has it but she manages very well. Quite well enough to teach the highest levels of maths at our school. I know she's had it for a long time. I'm sorry but I don't know much about the condition but I hope this is of some comfort to you. I wish you well for the future. |

We don't even think about my dad having it, he goes to work like normal people, acts like any other healthy person was do even though he also has diabetes and a heart condition but yeah he's fine. I think you're cousin should be fine, and I don't think it harms the baby, my dads had three and none of us have it so I don't think its hereditery (sp?) |

What is so funny is that I really do feel normal (except for a few minor things) but some people look at me like I have leprosy or something . It's not contagious or anything but some treat me like I'm going to die at any moment . I don't plan on that yet I still have to much shit to cause before I die *L* Thanks for the posts all |
