I just tried to submit a poem, however the site wouldnt let me, first of all it told me to spell check it so i did, then i had to take out all of the inverted commas as they caused problems with it...finally it said that there were inappropriate words...IM CONFUSED

As far as I am aware I have not broken any of the site rules, a friend of mine has also had complaints about the site where they accused her of one of her poems being inappropriate, but neither of us could find out what was wrong...

Please could someone help me as I really love this site but at the moment it is causing so many problems I dont know whether I should bother with it...

    Thanks Lost Girl xxxxx

there has always been a little problem with the spell checker here. And the lastest change seems to do different things than was originally happening.

What I do, is spell check my poems with my computer's word processor. then copy and paste it into the "submit poem" page. If I know I have problems (like names, or lots of apostrophes) I will post it straight into the Slang category. Once it is accepted, I will immediately go back in and change the category to the proper one.

    Always works for me.

Yep, it keeps adding some lovely a's with nice accents and question marks wherever there is an apostrophe, it also, has american spell check which means anything such as honour it sulks about because it would like honor..

Drugs apparently has become an innapropriate word, how odd.. which means you end up submitting your poem into the "explicit" section when really it isn't at all explicit..

I still have received no word of what was wrong with my poem but hopefully someone will respond soon, this site is good, but the little niggles can get rather tiresom..
