How did you got to write poetry? How did you discovered you could write? How you found this web to post your poetry & literature?

I started writing poetry to get my emotions out. I descovered I could write when I wrote a short story and got 100 on it and a private chat with my english teacher Freshman year. I came upon this site while doing research on types of poetry Freshman year, but I didn't start useing it until the summer after Freshman year. I actually write poetry now to work on my skills to write my books. hope that didn't bore you...

Someone broke my heart, and only through poetry could I express my true feelings

I found this web site quite by accident, but I am glad that I did. It has allowed me to vent a lot of inner feelings.

i found out i could write poetry when my brothers friends told me to try to my suprise i was pretty good so i decided to look for poetry on the internet and i came across this site so i've been coming here to vent and improve my skills as a poet.

I started writing as I got inspired by Gustavo Adolfo Bécquer. He is absolutely fantastic. A friend showed me this page, so I decided to sign up.
