I didn't really have too, as I got more than enough attention by claiming that one of the site's most popular members was a plagiarizer...

    so, no, I didn't...

My first few weeks suck, since everyone hated me for calling that ***** a plagiarizer..got some nasty emails...

I had written a few poems before I came here, so I posted quite a few,...I wrote a couple of new ones too...

I never cared for the awards..

    how bout you?

Question...how long does it take for the label "newbie" to fade into the background for a member? :P

Browsing for poems P&Q I liked
the most after lots of reading from
many sights and has inspired me
    to write for my girlfriend.

Noobie threads I posted a few.
The first month was trying to find
were I fit in. But found all fit in at this
most superb site. The whole world
at your fingertips kids to grandparents.
The best and the coming up of new
    talent intelligent and also retarded
    a great place to share.

Awards come with time from comments
you make and get back in return.
Point awards come from what readers
think of your work. Posting in the
forums brings lots of attention to
ones self also. Thus more readers
    see your work.

A great change for me now writing
my own poems. Like you almost
one year here, happy anniversary dude!

Thank you P&Q for sharing too.

I remember that when i first found this site I put all the poems I had written, up until that point, on all at the same time. When they weren't read, I remember feeling sad about it. Then I caught on about putting some time in between poems to give people a chance to read them. Once I did that people started to take notice.

Okaaay, so maybe i'm not a newb anymore. :| Yay!

I never made a newbie thread. I just came in and started annoying people. BAAAAD.

My first few weeks on the site were kinda awkward, cos it felt really weird for some reason, just to be communicating with people i've never met before from different places around the world...but now I've gotten more comfortable. :)

I thought the awards looked pretty. :P Then i started getting tired of seeing them.

This site hasn't changed my life. It's more of the community that has changed my way of thinking and reacting. Oh yeah and also typing....cos i used to typ lyk dis all the time...sad i know, but please leave it be. Lol.

No. I never made a thread to introduce myself, I just sort of commented on every single poem I read. It was ridiculous... lol After awhile I did some serious writing, improved a little and people started reading my work. I made some friends and along the way, through my whole experience here, I realized how much more growing up I still have to do.

In six days, I will have been on this site for a year. Wow. It doesn't seem that long ago!
so I'm not exactly an old member, but I've been here for quite a bit of time.
I remember I introduced myself under the name "kat" and just asked a few questions. It took me a while until I got read, and me even now I'm not a well-known poet on this site. I remember when I first got an award I felt like a member, I was just like "WOW! I'm special now!" I don't care anymore though.
The site has opened my eyes to my writing. It has allowed me to venture into different genres. I love this site.

I never posted a newbie thread! I actually didn't participate in the forums at all at first, I still don't very often.
I mostly read other's work and slowly started posting my own poetry. I didn't become a member right away either. I just read other people's poetry and voted.
As crazy as it sounds I'd never even been on the internet at all until I went to this site. So it was all new to me which made it very strange in a good way.
As for the awards, when I got my first one I didn't even know what it was. I had to click on it to find out.
I've been on the site for nearly a year and a half. It amazes me how different my poetry is compared to when I first started writing. This site has really helped me alot.

It's pretty simple really, I posted one poem. Then left for 2 weeks. Then come back. Then left again, and once in a while I'll come back and post another poem.

    I can't say that I remember? I don't think I did? I didn't join in any of the forums until quite a while after joining P & Q.

i didnt know about the forums till ages after i became a member, and i remember the only reason i signed up was to comment on a poem i read that made me cry, then i started writting some stuff, and pretty soon found the forum, but not many people really know me, im not a well known person like Atomic or Angelina Taylor or JustAri (what a crack up!!!!)
