Question: Should Members Be Able To Report These?

Poems with the title so and so then "LONG BUT WORTH IT!!!"

It bothers me (sooo annoying). Plus, it's an illicit way of asking someone to read it. That counts as a violation against rule number three, am i right?

It bothers me because so many of these dumb poems are clouding up the categories. If all of these poems with the little ding-a-ling decorations and requests in the titles were GONE, then there'd be less pages to go through in the submitted poem categories.

if there is anything in the title, besides the title, then report it. If in doubt, then you can say in the comment, "I'm not sure on this one, you decide if it's a violation" and we will check into it.

I've even done that before (on plagiarism ones), so that it will be more than just my opinion or research that will give someone 5 penalty points.

Stupid or not, (and I don't think it is) it's a rule the site administrator made and we all have to abide by it.

Mr Whuppy - The reason we are trying to get rid of the ' LONG BUT PLEASE READ IT IT"S WORTH IT' sort of stuff is because, that's not what poetry is about... We shouldn't have to ask for votes or people to read them... That's for teh request for comments forum anyhow... They shouldn't be in the titles of our poems... No poem should stand out more than any other it's not fair for the people that abide by the rules.

If you are so unhappy with the way P&Q's is run then leave.

Also in another post and from what i have gathered - you're new to this site... Maybe you should learn a few more things before you come into this forum and saying those sorts of things... If i were you i'd watch my mouth before something happens.

I don't think that expressing your opinion should get you kicked out of the site, although I do think that disrespecting other members for their opinions should get a few penalty points.

John, you should understand that there are restrictions on free speach, and that they are documented through court cases in the United States. If you live in just about any other country, the restrictions on free speach are usually greater.

In any case, I think Vagabon wrote correctly on the topic.
