Help...what do u do when his dad wants him away from you? :s

I have no idea what to do, a week ago my boyfriend told me that his dad wants my boyfriend as far away from me as possible when he goes to university. my boyfriend and i have talked about moving in together when we do go to university but now i don't know what to do about his dad. i've always had a feeling that his dad didn't like me and when i asked my boyfriend about this he just said that his dad doesn't like him being in relationships and would prefer that my boyfriend had various girlfriends, but my boyfriend thinks otherwise. his father lives overseas and over the christmas holidays, my boyfriend is going there for 2 months and i'm so scared that his dad will tell him to break up with me before university. (my boyfriend both have one year left of school then university in 2007) if anyone has any advice please help me. thanks =)

There is really not much you can do as an individual. There may be something your boyfriend can do if he can negotiate with his dad and persuade him to compromise. It sounds like his father may have all the bargaining chips because he is presumably the one bankrolling your bf's education expenses.

Yea it's hard but like his dad wants him to go to a university that he doesn't want to go to in Australia and he said to me that he is going to talk to his father and tell him that he doesn't want to go to the one in Australia.But yea it's hard. Thanks everyone for ur advice

Try not to worry too much about it if it wont be an issue for another year and a bit. But hopefully your boyfriend will be able to talk some sense into his dad when he visits there. Good luck.
